The Rimon Association was founded in 2006 by a small group of parents and educators who were dedicated to creating a center of alternative education in the spirit of Anthroposophy for their children. Based in Pardes Hannah, the association presently operates five pre-schools/kindergartens, an elementary school and a high school.
The school is recognized by the Ministry of Education. The number of children enrolled at Rimon has grown each year; there is a great demand for Waldorf education.
Waldorf Education
Waldorf education was established 100 years ago in Western Europe, and today is one of the largest alternative educational methods in the world. It is most prevalent in the U.S. and Western Europe. In Israel, there are more than 100 ganim, 16 elementary schools and four high schools. This education system advocates a holistic vision of the child and the development of various skills that expand beyond the existing core issues in the public education system.
